Merak 2025 terms & conditions

1. ⁠Judging and Selection

  • Entries will be shortlisted by the organisers, The Tree House International.

  • The final entry will be chosen by independent external judges.

  • The judges’ decision is final and cannot be appealed.

  • Entries can be disqualified at any stage at the judges’ discretion.

  •  Non-winning entrants will not be individually notified.

 

2.⁠ ⁠Participation in Guinness Record Project

If a winning entrant cannot participate in the Guinness Record attempt in person, they may nominate a Merak partner to participate on their behalf.

 

3.⁠ ⁠Rights and Usage

By entering, you grant Merak a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, display, and distribute your entry for promotional, educational, awareness, or any other relevant purposes, including posting on Merak’s social media channels, website, event materials, and other promotional materials or media.

 

4.⁠ ⁠Disqualification

  • Failure to follow the award criteria or provide accurate information may result in disqualification.

  • Disqualification may also occur at the judges’ discretion, without prior notice.

5. Eligibility

  • Open to participants ages 18 and above.

  • Entrants must confirm the work submitted is their own original creation and does not infringe any third-party rights (including copyright, trademarks, or privacy rights).

  • If the entry includes any identifiable individuals, the entrant must have their consent to be filmed and to appear in the video. For minors, parental/guardian consent is required.

 

6. Liability Disclaimer

  • Merak and The Tree House International are not responsible for any technical issues, lost files, corrupted uploads, or late submissions due to internet, software, or hardware failures.

  • Merak and The Tree House International are not liable for any costs, damages, or losses incurred by entrants in connection with participation.

 

7. Modification or Cancellation

The organisers reserve the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice, due to circumstances beyond their control.

 

8. Privacy & Data Protection

Personal information provided by entrants will be used only for the purposes of administering the award and related activities, in accordance with applicable data protection laws. By submitting, entrants consent to their names, country, and submitted content being used for promotional purposes related to the award.

9.⁠ ⁠Acceptance of Terms

Submission of an entry constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
