

The Excellence in Special Needs Education Award honours one exceptional institution that demonstrates an outstanding commitment to inclusion, evidence-based education, holistic education, and community involvement.
The winning institution will:

Be invited to participate in assembling one of the sensory panels at Merak 2026 in Sri Lanka in April 2026, as part of the world record project.

Receive an award winning artistic sensory panel to display at their institution, a lasting symbol of their contribution to a global movement committed to inclusion and sustainability.
Eligibility Criteria

Be a registered organisation in your home country.

Provide exclusive special needs provision, operate a mainstream setting with a dedicated special needs stream, or use a combined model serving both populations. Such as a school, centre, vocational institute, tertiary institute, or charity.

Can be a government, private, NGO, or international institution.

The Voices for Autism Award honours one exceptional institution, individual, or group who can deliver the most powerful amessage about autism awareness and advocacy through a one-minute video clip. Selected entries will be featured in global media as part of Merak 2026, amplifying voices that inspire understanding, acceptance, and change.

Eligibility Criteria and Entry Instructions

Create a video clip focused on Autism awareness, and or advocacy.

Any style is welcome, including speaking, singing, acting, filming, animation, storytelling, sharing personal experiences, or other original concepts.

The message should inspire understanding, foster acceptance, and leave a lasting impact on the audience.

Video length must not exceed one minute.

Must be in MP4 format.

Each applicant may submit up to three entries.

Use of artificial intelligence is permitted and may be combined with traditional filming methods.

Open to individuals, groups, or organisations from anywhere in the world.
